Mains fed drinking water is demonstrably more environmentally sustainable and friendlier than bottled water. The bottled water alternatives lead to large quantities of plastic waste, very little of which is recycled and what cannot be recycled goes to landfill. The carbon emissions generated in delivering bottled water and the food miles required to ensure constant water supply also result in considerable damage to the environment. Filtering and chilling mains fed water on site with a PHS Waterlogic dispenser does away with the need for large non-biodegradable plastic bottles and constant deliveries.
Carbon Footprint Report
An independent study undertaken by an environmental consultancy, Sustain, proved that a PHS Waterlogic cooler compared to a bottled watercooler has up to 72% less carbon footprint and is the green choice.*
PHS Waterlogic’s water dispensers are also environmentally friendly in many other ways; a sleep mode option reduces energy use and many of the materials and parts used are recyclable. PHS Waterlogic is fully compliant to the WEEE Directive and has an in-house recycling and disposal centre for parts.

PHS Waterlogic High Performance Filters
PHS Waterlogic watercoolers now have Waterlogic manufactured carbon filters. Producing the filters ourselves has led to some major environmental improvements through innovative manufacturing and a reduction in the quantity of plastic wasted.
Previously our CBC or GAC carbon filters were in a sealed plastic housing and when changed, the entire filter and housing would be sent to landfill. The plastic housing now has a screwable top, it is opened, the carbon filter is removed and the plastic housing is then cleaned and reused. A new CBC or GAC carbon filter is then placed into the plastic housing and the top is then screwed back on. Only the carbon filter is then sent to landfill, dramatically reducing our waste by 81% and in turn reducing our carbon footprint.
